Boasting a background studying thermodynamics and applied physics, Nicolas’ early interest in CG led him to study at the prestigious Supinfocom Valenciennes. After graduating he joined VFX studio BUF, and quickly rose up the ranks to the position of VFX Supervisor, securing early credits on The Matrix sequels, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Thor.
A move to Cinesite’s Montreal studio led to a VFX Supervisor role on credits including Now You See Me 2, X-Men: Apocalypse, The Commuter, Black Sails and Alejandro Iñárritu’s The Revenant, for which he received a VES award. Nicolas joined Framestore in 2017, drawn to both the variety and quality of work the studio produces. He was part of the team on Alexander Payne’s film Downsizing and supervised the J.K.Rowling sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and both Timmy Failure and Flora & Ulysses for Disney+.
