DescriptionThe Prop Art Supervisor will help the prop art team create assets in World of Warcraft that tell a story. You are someone that can not only tell a story with their props but can also concept, model, texture, animate (and even create FX for) props start to finish. We want you to work closely with the art leadership to help drive the style forward. The Supervisor will be focused firstly on the internal needs of the prop team. Secondly, they will be expected to work inclusively with other art disciplines and design leaders.

Create benchmark prop art assets (including concept, models, textures, animation and FX)
Able to represent the needs and interests of the prop team
Provide guidance during creative discussions with art leadership and design
Make decisions that keep the production moving forward
Partner with art management to ensure prop team is healthy and strong
Partner with production to ensure schedules and plans meet business needs

Provide direction for the prop art team. This includes painting over screen captures, manipulating 3D models and painting textures
Work closely with art leadership to help achieve a consistent vision
Strong hand-painted texturing skill that fits within the larger world
Ability to prototype and create block-out assets
Ability to identify, mentor and grow talent on the prop team
Communicate with production, design, and other departments

5+ years of experience in game development concepting, modeling, and texturing objects
Experience animating objects and creating FX is a plus
Understand real-time game development needs
Able to collaborate closely with other and inclusive decision-maker
Ability to explore a wide variety of ideas that push the World of Warcraft style
Self-driven, passionate, creative problem solver, and a great team first attitude
