DescriptionToday, filmmakers are still bound to old and inaccurate methods of color correction and color grading based on biased datasets and outdated tools. The advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are changing production. More inclusive data is a must given that standard tools can still falsely identify persons of certain skin tones. Matching images to the visible light spectrum range provides a true neutral rather than the current idea of “neutral” resulting in a wider variety of skin tones being more recognized in automated systems, mitigating bias.
