DescriptionThis presentation discusses my doctoral research into using Twine to educate users about the impact hearing loss has on daily life situations. I am conducting a survey study to measure the effectiveness of a Twine interactive fiction experience in educating users about the impact hearing loss has on daily life. This experience places users in a first-person perspective to require users to make decisions about how to handle a situation based on being the individual with hearing loss, forcing them to consider how hearing loss impacts their abilities and perceptions, as well as how it could impact others around them.
