Iñigo Quilez
Biography
Inigo self-taught coding as a young teenager and then computer graphics within the Demoscene. In the mid 2000s he worked in VR as a rendering engine architect. Then he joined Pixar in 2010 as a Technical Artists and created procedural vegetation and landscapes, winning a VES award for his production work in "Brave". Inigo then joined the Oculus Story Studio as film VFX Supervisor and created the VR animation tool "Quill", and became its Product Manager. Currently Inigo is self-employed and launching a Youtube channel to inspire audiences with the artistic use of mathematics. Inigo is also the co-founder of the online computer graphics platform and community "Shadertoy", to which he has contributed with more than 512 shaders, many of which push the limits of rendering with procedural SDFs both technically and artistically. Inigo has also written almost 128 articles in computer graphics which are available in his website.
