Biography
Justus Thies is a postdoctoral researcher at the Visual Computing Lab at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Previous, he was a PhD student at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg under the supervision of Guenther Greiner. His research focuses on real-time facial performance capturing and expression transfer using commodity hardware at the intersection of Computer Vision and Computer Graphics. His publications opened up a new research field - real-time facial reenactment. Besides facial reenactment, he is particularly interested in novel techniques for 3D reconstruction, digital humans, video editing as well as neural image synthesis.
