DescriptionMission:
The Systems Administrator is a core member of the systems team primarily responsible for maintaining Distillery’s local data center including environmental conditions, network infrastructure, servers, and storage. You will be a key driver of implementing and improving existing Windows-based infrastructure, as well as integrating and maintaining various third-party systems, products, hardware, software, and workflow for maintenance of operations. This role also includes some end-user support and monitoring of issues with workstations and render farm.
Objectives:
Support and maintain network infrastructure, servers, storage, and workstations.
Install and configure software and hardware with local and remote deployments
Set up and administer accounts and permissions
Maintain network services including Windows Server, SCCM, Office365, Azure, Isilon, QNAP, AWS, and Fortigate firewalls.
Troubleshoot issues and outages, and monitor network and storage performance
Redundancy and availability for critical server outages
Ensure network security policies are maintained and adhere to industry guidelines/standards
Upgrade systems with new software releases and hardware models
Create and maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Requirements:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role in Windows environment
Experience in desktop/technical support in a Microsoft Windows network environment
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Scripting in Python, PowerShell, or other language
Excellent understanding of Microsoft products, including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 admin, SCCM, Azure, Windows Active Directory User and Computer Administration is required;
Some knowledge of Linux back end systems
Familiarity with standard helpdesk software and a good knowledge of remote user support;
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer service skills and attitude
Strong verbal and writing proficiency in English
Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
Self-reliant with team player attitude
College diploma or degree in IT, CS, or related discipline
Some Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), ITIL, Cisco)
Knowledge or experience with Autodesk, Foundry, Adobe software
