DescriptionDisplacement maps capture the higher fidelity details, like wrinkles, scars, and chips, of production assets and are employed at the time of rendering. We developed an iterable approach to extract displacement maps using open source libraries like OpenSubDiv, OptiX(NVIDIA), and Embree(Intel), that is both time and memory efficient.
