DescriptionUsing a commercial terrain engine, we show how to model the complex surface of asteroid (101955) Bennu with a hybrid approach that combines digital elevation models with displacement in order to capture overhangs. Then we demonstrate adapting tri-planar material mapping to the curvature of small planetary bodies, avoiding distortions.
