Asavari Kumar is an award-winning filmmaker and visual artist from India whose short films, graphic novels, and new media work have been showcased at prestigious film festivals and exhibition spaces. She is the co-founder and creative director at Los Angeles-based studio Supernova Design, whose clients include Warner Bros., Google, YouTube, & Disney. Drawn to cross-cultural narratives, Asavari uses character-driven storytelling to parse her evolving cultural and political identity. Asavari holds an MFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts and is a former artist in residence for Adobe Aero.
