Biography
Tom Sito was born in NYC, he studied at The School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League. A career animation artist, his credits include Walt Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (1991), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), The Little Mermaid (1989), Aladdin (1992) Shrek (2001), The Prince of Egypt, Osmosis Jones (2001), The Lion King (1994), and TV shows like HeMan and the Masters of the Universe (1983), SheRa Princess of Power (1985), The Superfriends. He was chair of animation at USC, on the Board of Governors of the Motion Picture Academy of Arts & Sciences. He lectures on animation around the world and is the author of several books, including: Drawing the Line: The Untold Story of the Animation Unions from Bosko to Bart Simpson, Moving Innovation: A History of Computer Animation, and Eat, Drink, Animate, An Animator’s Cookbook. In 2001 he was named one of the "100 most important people in Animation." He currently teaches animation at the University of Southern California.
