Augusto Esteves is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico – University of Lisbon; and an Integrated Member of the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI). He completed his PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the University of Madeira, and his career has spanned various institutions ranging from the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (research intern), the Eindhoven University of Technology (visiting researcher), Lancaster University (postdoc), or the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (visiting professor). He is on the Program and Organizing Committee for various ACM/IEEE conferences, and in addition to best paper awards at ACM UIST '15 and ACM TOCHI '17, his work has been featured in wide range of outputs including ACM’s Computing Reviews: Notable Computing Books and Articles of 2015, the Dutch Design Week, or Click – BBC’ flagship program on technology.
