Biography
Ahmed Sabbir Arif leads the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Group at the University of California, Merced. His research makes computer technologies accessible to everyone by developing intuitive, effective, and enjoyable input and interaction techniques. A major thread of his work focuses on smarter solutions for text input, editing, and error correction. His other interests include mobile interaction, assistive technologies, child-computer interaction, and virtual reality. He received his Ph.D. from York University, Canada. He also holds an M.Sc. from Lakehead University, Canada and a B.Sc. from Trent University, Canada.
