Patrick works at the intersection of computer graphics and geospatial, focusing on software and standards. Patrick is the CEO of Cesium, the creator of CesiumJS and 3D Tiles, and the co-creator of glTF. He is the former Chair of the Khronos 3D Formats Working Group, has contributed to ten books on graphics, games, and geospatial, and has taught hundreds of computer science students at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, Patrick received the Khronos “Khronie” award for outstanding contributions to open standards.
